Hummingbird Sunset Earrings

Over the weekend I pulled a few displays out of my studio and set up a table outside in the beautiful spring St. Louis sunshine. The streets of Soulard were filled with people, the line outside of Bogart's was out the door as usual and the sounds of the Soulard market were in the air.

I haven't made earrings in a while, so this project was really fun for me! The materials for this projects are included in the first photo in this blog post. You will also need a few small pieces of tiger tail wire and two gold tone crimp beads.

The trick to creating these earrings is suspending the dangling decorative beads with tiger tail wire. The hummingbird pieces are intended to be clasps, making it easy to string a piece of tiger tail wire through the component.

In order to attach the earring hooks, you will need to remove the the pendant clasps from the sunset colored discs in order to make these into earrings. Attach the earring hooks, suspend the hummingbirds from the remaining clasp.
