Bridesmaids Jewelry by Blue Moon Beads

Wedding season is in full swing! One of my close friends is getting married and wanted to accessorize her bridal party. I asked her for a color swatch and a few basic details about the dress. After a short trip to my local JoAnn Fabric store I found a  basket full of materials to use for the project.

The new Blue Moon beads flatbacks are perfect for an upscale bridesmaids jewelry set. I also used cylinder shaped bead to create this bracelet.
Here is a closeup of the earrings. I used Blue Moon beads findings, including jump rings and earring hooks.

Here is the finished three piece set! You can make this beautiful set for about $20. Make this set in a variety of colors using Blue Moon beads.

Wedding day photos will be posted at the end of October!

Wedding Jewelry - Something Old to Something New

When bride-to-be Bridget asked me to take her heirloom jewelry and design a spectacular statement necklace I couldn't wait to start the project! I knew that I had to find the perfect eye catching piece that would compliment a wedding gown and work well with vintage materials.

I envisioned designing a necklace with old Hollywood glam and glitz. After searching high and low, I found the perfect eye-catching centerpiece from the Styled By Tori Spelling. I loved this piece, it was so fashion forward and very easy to work with!

The ceremony and reception was held on a unique property in Upstate New York. The rolling hills, green fields and scenic country landscape was the perfect setting for the end of summer wedding. The necklace turned out perfect, especially after seeing Bridget on her wedding day. I also loved how she took some of her wedding photos alongside a classic car, adding another old Hollywood element to her special day! Congratulations Bridget & Rich Hoisington.

Wedding Design Diary - A Fabulous Countryside Midwestern Affair

With only a few weeks before her big day, bride Erin contacted Earth Star Design Boutique to explore options for adding custom accessories to her wedding party for her special day. Our initial communications were over email, where she described the colors and theme of her special day. She provided a picture of the bridesmaids dress and a few extra details. I immediately started the creative process!
The location of Erin's wedding created an element that could not be reproduced, and was very sentimental. The bride and groom planned to wed on their grandparents property in Golden Eagle, Illinois. She also shared with me that during the ceremony the newlyweds would plant a tree!

To create the look I used a mix of Blue Moon beads, vintage chain, crystals and gold tone findings to create the perfect accessories. The focal point of the necklace was a leaf, which was a great way to pull the look together and to commemorate the tree planting ceremony.

In Golden Eagle, Illinois some very special memories were made during the mid-September affair. I was happy to work with this wedding party, and couldn't wait to see the pictures!
