Add a Pop of Color With Chain

The warmer weather is finally here, so I packed up all of my winter clothes and pulled out my summer wardrobe. Just like any other girl, I immediately thought about heading to the mall to buy a few new tops however I decided to shop my own closet instead. I found a tangerine colored shirt and decided to spruce it up a bit with a new necklace.

Blue Moon Beads has new colored chain! What a great idea, KUDOS to the designer for putting these styles in the latest chain collection. Many trendy costume jewelry companies have multi-layered chain necklaces featured for the summer, however the pieces are so expensive. It's always great to find a way to create something fashionable without breaking the bank!

Make your own chain statement necklace using the new colored chain by Blue Moon Beads for much less. There are several other chain colors to choose from so creating a piece that matches your wardrobe is easy! Add a few additional chain styles to complete the look and you now have a reinvented top for the summer!

Modern Chain Statement Necklace

Blue Moon Beads just came out with several varieties of chain and I must say that I love them all. There are so many varieties to choose from, which makes creating new pieces even more fun. The new line of chain is out in JoAnn Fabric stores now.
For my next piece, I wanted used three very different types of chain to create a statement necklace perfect for your next night out in a little black dress. This multi layered chain necklace was created by layering three types of chain and weaving them through a round donut shaped bead from Blue Moon's Stone Age Collection. The donut is attached to the chain with a piece of black ribbon.
Each strand is attached to two silver rings, which also anchors two strands of black ribbon. Lately I have been using ribbon as opposed to a traditional clasp. Necklaces are much more versatile this way!

Statement Necklaces Made Easy With BMB Connectors

During my last trip to New Orleans, I fell in love with all of the over the top jewelry pieces that I saw in local boutiques. As I prepare for my next trip to NOLA, I wanted to create a fun statement necklace to wear canal side or poolside!
New at JoAnn Fabrics, Blue Moon Beads has a line of connectors available in many colors, shapes and sizes. I selected a mix of connectors in blues and greens to work with for this project. Other required supplies are seed beads, tiger tail wire, ribbon, wire and jump rings to fasten the connectors together.

To build the necklace, completed the double strand of beads first, then started to attach the connectors with jump rings. It is important that the connectors have enough space in the design to hang properly. To complete this look, I used two pieces of green ribbon. What do you think about this new statement necklace? I am ready for warmer weather and a fabulous trip to New Orleans.

Multi-Layer Winter Statement Necklace

After focusing on making holiday gifts earlier this week, it's time for a new project. After an afternoon visit to Michael's Craft Store, I found several strands of Halcraft beads that caught my eye.  Brown and black animal print beads, paired with brown and metal toned beads were the perfect mix.

Using two types of chain and several over-shaped jump rings, I finished this project in 45 minutes! Viola, I have a new piece of jewelry to wear into the office tomorrow morning.
